How to purchase one of my dolls
I am trying to expand the way I sell my dolls in order to respond to the great feedback and terrific interest I've gotten from the Meet in the Street Fair, the Wake Forest Weekly article and now my taping of Loving Life with Dr. Timothy Weir.
As I have always done, I will continue to research and purchase kits that I think are especially adorable and fit how I like my dolls to look. Those dolls will still be available on the For Sale page as well as on Facebook and also on eBay.
However, I am also offering Custom dolls. This is a relatively new venture for me, but I think it will be wonderful to be able to give my customers just the precious little one that they are hoping for.
To do this, I ask that you email me first. (firstname.lastname@example.org)
I am able to paint several dolls concurrently, but unfortunately I can only root one doll at a time. This means that if you want rooted hair, you will have to get onto my queue. Typically a doll with painted hair or bald will take me about 3 weeks to complete. If you want rooted hair, that adds about another 3-4 weeks (it takes about 20 hours to root a full head of hair).
Custom doll prices vary, but start at about $300 and go up to about $500 depending on the cost of the kit and other materials and whether or not you choose to have rooted hair and glass eyes (if the dolls eyes are open).
I require a deposit of $100 to $150 depending on the cost of the kit to get started. This amount is refundable if you choose not to buy the finished doll, but only after the doll has been sold to someone else.
I appreciate your patience. I am a full time student so my painting work is done during my free time. I will do my very best to get your doll done in a reasonable amount of time, and will communicate with you often to keep you up to date on my progress.
And please, I can not make a doll look like a picture.
